Responsibilities
Oversee the full logistics lifecycle - including planning, transportation, warehousing, and delivery - to ensure efficient and timely fulfillment of supply chain operations
Coordinate OOG import and export shipments
Issue delivery orders to trucking carriers and warehouses
Ensure cargo is delivered on time and customer is kept informed of any changes or delays
Help to mentor and train fellow team members on OOG cargo operations
Be the first point of contact for team operational issues that need to be escalated to project manager
Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders
Obtain and negotiate quotes from vendors
Must be comfortable managing relationships with multiple stakeholders including vendors, customers, and internal teams
Demonstrated ability to oversee financial components of logistics operations - tracking costs and revenue, maintaining accurate rate records, and ensuring real-time visibility and communication of assessorial charges to stakeholders
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED (required)
5+ years of operations experience in project freight forwarding
Experience with breakbulk, RORO, and OOG flat rack shipments
Comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Import/Export documentation
Excellent Customer Service Skills
