EXPERIENCE MANAGER
University Circle Inc. is a nonprofit organization that connects stakeholders and promotes community vibrancy in Ohio. The Experience Manager will oversee UCI-produced events and manage private events, ensuring smooth execution and a memorable experience for participants while driving strategy for future opportunities.

Responsibilities
Manage UCI’s signature events (e.g., Parade the Circle, WOW! Wade Oval Wednesdays, YAY! Fall Fun, Illuminate the Circle) from concept to completion, ensuring seamless execution and a memorable experience for all participants and the public
Partner with the Marketing & Experiences team to develop activation strategies and goals for UCI-produced events, contributing to the creation of an annual event calendar and providing input for event tactics and execution
Oversee all logistics for events, including coordinating vendors, contracts, permits, security, equipment, entertainment, and food services
Serve as a primary on-the-ground event manager during activations, ensuring smooth operations, managing staff, and providing excellent customer service to vendors, participants, and the public. This includes evening and weekend hours
Maintain relationships with current vendors and recruit diverse, locally owned businesses for event participation, focusing on inclusivity and community engagement
Handle invoice tracking, payments, and budget management for events, ensuring all financials are properly documented and submitted
Establish and update protocols and pricing policies for UCI owned and managed event spaces, focusing on accessibility, diversity, and inclusion
Assist in managing UCI’s private event rentals, supporting clients from initial inquiry to event execution
Coordinate with the University Circle Police Department for events requiring security and ensure all public safety requirements are met
Work closely with UCI’s Director of Properties and Services on venue repairs and maintenance
Collaborate with neighboring institutions to manage any event-related issues, including parking, sound pollution, and street access

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent additional work experience
Minimum 3+ years of experience working in events, project management, and/or community engagement
Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs
Experience with web-based form builders, payment processing applications, and project management software such as JotForm, Clover, and Monday
Able to work a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends
Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
Preferred
General knowledge of City of Cleveland permitting processes desired, but not required
