Lead Controls Technician - Nashville

PremiStar is seeking a Lead Controls Technician to establish and maintain communication with customers and manage project coordination. The role involves overseeing the delivery of materials, creating control programming strategies, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Establishes and maintain communication with internal and external customers, contractors, and sub-contractors
Assist with sub-contractor on-site coordination as required to ensure scope of work understanding for successful completion of project
Receive materials and parts and allocated to assigned projects
Deliver or coordinate delivery of material and parts to jobsite as needed
Keep track of personal timesheet information and expense and task reports
Generate Functional and/or performance verification testing procedures on a project basis
Update control documents including as-built drawings, point-to-point check out sheets, performance verification, device certifications, device and network performance documentation for use in operation and maintenance manuals
Review project instructions, drawings, and blueprints to ascertain specifications, procedures, objectives, nature of technical problems, and possible solutions
Create and implement Control Programming strategies as specified per assigned project
Programming and commissioning of multiple control systems and versions
Create and implement BAS Graphical Interfaces as specified per assigned project
Customer training for Controls and BAS Projects as specified per assigned project
Expand knowledge through self-study and through company sponsored training programs
Adhere to all company, customer and project safety protocols
Display professional behavior and attitude
Other assigned duties by Controls Department Manager

Required

Ability to work with hands
Ability to assign priorities to tasks
Ability to lift 50lbs, unassisted, occasionally
Controls and Building Automation knowledge and experience are required
Valid state motor vehicle operator license with clear driving record to meet company policy to drive a company vehicle
Must be willing to drive within 120 miles of Nashville, TN

Preferred

Tridium Niagara 4 Certification and experience are greatly beneficial
Any Schneider Electric Controls knowledge and experience is helpful
Any Distech Controls knowledge and experience is helpful
Any experience with US Military projects is greatly beneficial
Any specific experience at Fort Campbell Army Base is greatly beneficial
Any experience building, mounting and checking out Control Panels is helpful
Any experience bending and installing Conduit and Raceways and pulling Control Wire is helpful
