Telluride Ski & Golf is a premier destination for dining experiences in North America, seeking a Bistro Host to enhance guest interactions. The role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing dining reservations, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

Travel

Responsibilities

Greets all who enter restaurant in a friendly and welcoming manner
Coordinates dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for diners, alerting serving staff to expressed allergy concerns, special occasions, special requests
Maintains active table map (seating chart) of Dining Room, including server assignments
Compiles and maintains waiting list, keeping guests informed regarding table availability
Greets and escorts guests to tables, presents menus; gives Server’s name; makes accommodation for special seating needs
Know and greet Club members by name and their past preferences
Attentive to guest needs regarding their outerwear and accoutrements. Maintains an organized coatroom where applicable
Manages foyer area access and ensures that all guests have been acknowledged and assisted
Assists serving staff by checking and restocking dining room serving stations: for neatness, organization and cleanliness
Adheres to CS Venue grooming and hygiene policy
Observes and assures compliance with all health codes and sanitation requirements

Required

Must be outgoing, personable and organized
At least 1-year fine dining experience or similar
Must meet dress code requirements
Must be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 1-2 years experience with the company
Fluency in the English language: read, write, speak clearly and effectively
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to compute rate, ratio, discounts
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Operational understanding of reservation systems (e.g. Open Table), POS system, Word processing spreadsheet and email and internet software
Must be able to work effectively at altitude of 10,000 ft or above
Must be able to function effectively in inclement weather conditions
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
You must be able to ski or snowboard at intermediate level or above, and have your own equipment
You will have to pass an on-snow skills assessment before you will be able to work
