Responsibilities
Perform complex analytical testing using gas, liquid, and ion chromatography (GC, LC, IC) and wet chemistry methods following established QA/QC protocols
Operate, maintain, and ensure readiness of analytical instrumentation
Accurately record, analyze, and summarize experimental and analytical data
Provide technical support and guidance to project leaders and laboratory staff
Support multiple analytical programs concurrently while maintaining strong organization and time management
Ensure compliance with laboratory safety requirements and contribute to chemical hygiene and safety planning
Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure data validity and integrity
Communicate technical information clearly and respond to internal technical inquiries in a timely manner
Support laboratory and field activities as required
Qualification
Required
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline
Minimum of 6 years of hands-on analytical laboratory experience with GC, LC, IC, and wet chemistry
Strong understanding of QA/QC principles, laboratory protocols, and safety practices
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks independently while exercising sound scientific judgment
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods in a laboratory environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and routinely handle laboratory materials, gas cylinders, and solvent containers
Ability to work on-site and travel to field locations as needed
