They are seeking a motivated Material Technician Intern to support their Kaukauna and Stevens Point offices by performing field and laboratory testing, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

Proficiently perform field and laboratory testing and calibrations including but not limited to plastic concrete, proctor densities, soils, bituminous, or masonry products
Observe excavations and correlate the observations with soil boring logs
Perform hand auger borings under the direction of the project manager
Report and distribute field test results
Communicate with the project manager and client, earthwork contractor and/or ready-mix supplier
Conduct field, laboratory and office activities in a manner consistent with federal, state, and local regulations
Conduct laboratory maintenance
Maintain high chargeable productivity while maintaining a quality work product
Properly use and maintain company instruments and equipment
Frequent travel within the regional area, and occasional out-of-town travel
Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Material testing experienceWisDOT PCCTEC-IWisDOT AGGTEC-INucdensityCST

Required

3 – 5 years of material testing experience
WisDOT PCCTEC-I
WisDOT AGGTEC-I

Preferred

Nucdensity (not required but a plus!)
CST (not required but a plus!)
