Human Resources Assistant and Recruiting Specialist
James L. Maher Center is seeking a professional and organized individual for the HR Assistant & Recruiting Specialist position. This role focuses on coordinating and executing the recruiting process, conducting initial interviews, and assisting with new hire trainings while ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Responsibilities
Completes and maintains all required State mandated trainings such as, Universal Precautions, CPR / First Aid, Signs & Symptoms of Illness & Injury and Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities, and Hospitals (BHDDH) CORE trainings within 90 days of employment
Attends meetings and training sessions as required by BHDDH and JLMC
Oversees recruitment efforts on a day to day basis
Be thoroughly familiar with and adhere to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Policy Manual
Updates internal and external recruiting sources and job postings
Compile and update applicant records such as EEO spreadsheet and new and old job posting and descriptions
Process applications and prepare related paperwork to be submitted to HR for formal offers
Answers recruiting related questions from applicants, and coworkers
Assist in initial onboarding trainings such as conducting CPR, and Safety Care classes
Maintain compliance with all requirements and regulations in all aspects of work performed
Acts as a representative for James L. Maher Center in a professional manner when required, to families, service coordinators, State officials, community partners, local businesses, and employers
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to positively interact with a variety of constituent personnel, including residential, day program, administrative and management staff
Maintains resident confidentiality
Treats all individuals and coworkers and with dignity, respect, and fairness
Qualification
Required
2 years HR, or recruiting experience or specific related education
Knowledge of various web based hiring sites
Excellent analytical skills that are detailed and accurate
Excellent organizational skills
The ability to work well with co-workers and in a team environment
Record of dependability and good attendance
Excellent customer service skills
Minimum of Intermediate computer skills in Word programs
Excellent Excel Skills
