Responsibilities
Design and develop electro-mechanical assemblies from concept through production release
Perform tight mechanical packaging of circuit board assemblies, power electronics, and electrical components into aluminum or sheet metal enclosures (~2 ft long x 6” wide x 6” deep)
Collaborate closely with electrical engineers to integrate pre-designed electrical components (no electrical circuit design required)
Work with structural, thermal, and vibration analysts, understanding analysis requirements and incorporating feedback into designs
Create and maintain detailed 3D models, drawings, and assemblies using Unigraphics NX (v19 or higher)
Manage CAD data, revisions, and configurations using Teamcenter
Support design reviews, prototype builds, and transition to manufacturing
Ensure designs meet applicable aerospace, automotive, or industrial standards and manufacturing best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field)
5+ years of Design Engineering experience
4+ years of hands-on experience with Unigraphics NX (version 19 or higher)
Strong experience designing electro-mechanical or electronic enclosures
Prior experience in aircraft, aerospace, avionics, automotive, or power electronics environments
Proven experience working with Teamcenter (required)
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and analysts
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes for aluminum and sheet metal designs
Preferred
Experience with ruggedized or high-reliability electronic systems
Familiarity with aerospace or automotive design standards
Experience supporting products through prototype and production phases
