Responsibilities
The Accounting Supervisor will oversee and review individual and trust tax returns, including Form 1040 and Form 1041
Provide guidance and technical review support for tax preparation and compliance matters
Supervise month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
The Accounting Supervisor will ensure general ledger accuracy and financial data integrity across engagements
Review financial statements and supporting schedules for completeness and accuracy
Coordinate workloads, deadlines, and deliverables for accounting staff
Serve as a point of escalation for client accounting and tax-related questions
The Accounting Supervisor will lead process improvements, documentation, and best practice implementation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience
Demonstrated experience with individual (1040) and trust (1041) tax returns
Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting
Proven ability to mentor, review work, and manage multiple priorities
Detail-oriented with strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Preferred
Prior experience reviewing tax returns and supervising staff preferred
Public accounting or financial services background strongly preferred
