Director of Sales And Business Development

ATN is partnered with a globally recognised Service Provider in its search for a Director of Sales and Business Development to establish the organisations customer footprint across the Americas. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies targeting automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers while building strong relationships and driving revenue growth.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute sales strategies targeting automotive OEMs, and Tier 1 suppliers
Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities through both hunting and farming existing accounts
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at OEMs and Tier 1s
Lead sales negotiations, proposal development, and contract management
Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to align solutions with client needs
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform strategic planning
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings
Prepare accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and executive-level presentations
Drive revenue growth while maintaining high customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
Proven track record of success in automotive sales or business development, preferably within engineering services
Strong network and established contacts with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers
Ability to both hunt for new clients and grow existing accounts
Experience negotiating complex contracts and managing multi-million-dollar deals
Strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Willingness to travel locally within the Michigan area and occasionally to other U.S. locations
