Responsibilities

Assist with operating, inspecting, and monitoring wastewater treatment equipment under supervision
Support collection of wastewater data, samples, and basic laboratory testing
Learn how facility controls are adjusted to maintain required operating standards
Observe and assist with odor control system operations
Support special projects to identify improvement needs and ideas to return systems to base condition
Work with the Maintenance Manager to help identify site improvement opportunities and understand how funding requests are developed
Review control system monitoring needs
Identify potential system improvements
Learn how capital improvement requests are evaluated and submitted
Learn how environmental permits, SOPs, and emergency plans are followed
Assist with ensuring monitoring requirements align with regulatory standards
Gain exposure to state and federal environmental compliance requirements

Required

Currently pursuing (or recently completed) coursework in Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Technology, Utilities, or a related field

Attention to detail and a responsible, team-oriented mindset
Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor industrial environments
