Responsibilities
Direct and oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis
Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards
Manage cash flow, grants administration, and funding compliance to ensure optimal resource allocation
Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard organizational assets and ensure compliance with policies
Lead the annual audit process, serving as the primary contact for external auditors
Develop financial strategies and recommendations to support executive leadership and the Board of Directors in decision-making
Collaborate with senior management to evaluate program costs, support development initiatives, and plan for long-term financial sustainability
Identify and monitor financial risks, creating effective mitigation strategies
Supervise, mentor, and develop finance team members, including recruitment and performance management
Ensure proficiency in financial systems and tools to enhance reporting and analysis capabilities
Qualification
Required
Experience in leading financial operations in a government entity
Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis
Ability to prepare and present financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards
Experience in managing cash flow, grants administration, and funding compliance
Proven track record in implementing and maintaining internal controls
Experience leading the annual audit process and serving as a primary contact for external auditors
Ability to develop financial strategies and recommendations for executive leadership and the Board of Directors
Experience collaborating with senior management to evaluate program costs and plan for long-term financial sustainability
Ability to identify and monitor financial risks and create effective mitigation strategies
