Responsibilities
Oversee all administrative procedures, record-keeping systems, and reporting requirements for the nutrition provider. Plan and coordinate daily enrichment activities for dining locations
Monitor budgeted spending and review monthly financial reports
Order food and supplies as needed
Coordinate with a licensed dietitian/nutritionist to ensure all menus are certified and meet current dietary requirements
Lead the recruitment, orientation, training, and supervision of all program volunteers, including Volunteer Site Managers
Ensure food service and safety protocols are followed across all sites to maintain high sanitation standards
Ensure all staff and volunteers are trained in the aging process and fire/disaster evacuation protocols
Attend community partner meetings and committee meetings on Aging in Transylvania County
Develop strong working relationships and service partnerships with other organizations and non-profits serving seniors in the area
Qualification
Required
Conduct the day-to-day management and administrative functions of the nutrition service program
Ensure the program meets all North Carolina Home and Community Care Block Grant (HCCBG) standards
Serve as a liaison between WNCSource, its community partners and clients
Oversee all administrative procedures, record-keeping systems, and reporting requirements for the nutrition provider
Plan and coordinate daily enrichment activities for dining locations
Monitor budgeted spending and review monthly financial reports

Coordinate with a licensed dietitian/nutritionist to ensure all menus are certified and meet current dietary requirements

Must complete at least 15 hours of instruction in food service sanitation practices within 12 months of employment and become certified
