Responsibilities
Responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of commercial/residential HVAC systems utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatic and electronic control systems, pipe fitting, welding and brazing and mechanical layouts
Uses a variety of hand tools, following blueprints, wiring and piping diagrams, or engineering specifications, to Install, diagnose and repair units
Operates refrigerant recovery equipment, vacuum pumps, charging equipment and service gauges
Possess excellent troubleshooting skills to component level
Inspects system to verify system compliance with plans and specifications
Completion of routine maintenance and operation of HVAC systems and any other related equipment, which contributes to the safe and effective operation of facilities
Maintain quality of work, performance and productivity standards
Performs repairs, overhauls, and start-ups of commercial HVAC systems
Records temperature, pressure, and other readings on log sheet at specified intervals
Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files
Keeps current all manufacturers’ products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair
May be required to work varying schedules and shifts to reflect the business needs of the Company
Knowledge of VAV/VVT HVAC systems experience preferred
Building controls – ATC Temperature Electronic and Pneumatic controls
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years of relative HVAC/R maintenance and mechanical experience
High School/GED
Must be Authorized to Work in the US
Universal Recovery Certification is required
Must possess a valid driver's license in good standing
Preferred
Associate's Degree or Trade School diploma and education related to the position is highly preferred
Factory trained technical service school certificates (Preferred)
Knowledge of BAS controls systems is preferred
Knowledge of VAV/VVT HVAC systems experience preferred
