The Service Technician is a senior-level role responsible for independent troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of a broad range of commercial-grade HVAC equipment to ensure customer satisfaction and uphold safety standards.

Responsibilities
Perform full-cycle service, maintenance, diagnosis, repair, and retrofitting on commercial HVAC systems and equipment—from 1-ton mini-splits to 50-ton package units, boilers, chillers, control valves, heat exchangers, and evaporative coolers—at customer sites
Identify, analyze, and resolve equipment and system issues efficiently to minimize downtime and maximize performance
Utilize advanced diagnostic software, mobile tools/technology, hand/power tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to complete repairs accurately
Document all service activities thoroughly: complete service reports, maintain accurate records/files, and provide detailed call summaries to the dispatcher before leaving the job site
Identify and communicate potential service, maintenance, or upgrade opportunities to support business growth and collaborate with account sales teams
Prioritize safety at all times: adhere to strict safety protocols, maintain accountability for company-issued tools/vehicles/assets (tracking use, condition, and wear), and promote a secure work environment
Demonstrate flexibility and dedication by participating in on-call rotations, overtime, weekend shifts, and occasional overnight travel as business needs require
Deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication, professionalism, and a commitment to satisfaction
Qualification
Required
5+ years of proven commercial HVAC service and repair experience, with demonstrated ability to work independently on complex systems
Valid EPA Section 608 certification (Universal preferred); additional relevant certifications (e.g., NATE) a plus
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to frequently lift/carry 30 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs; comfortable working in varied environments (rooftops, confined spaces, extreme temperatures)
Must successfully pass a background check, drug screening, and any required pre-employment assessments
Strong troubleshooting/problem-solving skills; proficiency with digital tools and documentation; excellent communication and customer service abilities; team-oriented mindset with a high degree of self-motivation and reliability
