Responsibilities
Assist with installation, setup, and configuration of test infrastructure, components, and operating systems
Support the development and execution of test plans; maintain test environments and document setup drawings
Perform verification tests in accordance with industry standards (UL, FM, and other regulatory requirements)
Document, track, and report defects; ensure issues are fully characterized and assist in reproducing and verifying fixes
Partner with compliance engineers to execute certification testing procedures for new products and maintain certifications for existing products
Qualification
Required
Assist with installation, setup, and configuration of test infrastructure, components, and operating systems
Support the development and execution of test plans; maintain test environments and document setup drawings
Perform verification tests in accordance with industry standards (UL, FM, and other regulatory requirements)
Document, track, and report defects; ensure issues are fully characterized and assist in reproducing and verifying fixes
Partner with compliance engineers to execute certification testing procedures for new products and maintain certifications for existing products
Self-motivated with the ability to understand requirements and apply technical knowledge in product evaluation and testing
Strong verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences
Highly energetic, success-driven team player
Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and manage multiple projects effectively
Preferred
5+ years of technical experience, or completion of a 2-year technical training program or associate degree
Prior experience in a lab or testing environment is a plus
Recent graduates with a B.S. in Engineering interested in compliance engineering are encouraged to apply
Experience in product development or regulatory agencies is a plus
Familiarity with fire alarm systems is a plus
