Senior Customer Solutions Engineer (Healthcare IT – HL7 Focused)
Konica Minolta Healthcare is seeking a Senior Customer Solutions Engineer to join their Healthcare IT team in a remote, customer-facing role with a strong focus on HL7 integrations. This role involves delivering high-touch technical support to enterprise customers, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction in PACS environments.
Responsibilities
Provide senior-level technical support for Konica Minolta Healthcare products and integrated OEM solutions
Serve as a technical advisor and advocate for enterprise customers
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve highly complex escalations, with a strong emphasis on HL7 integrations and workflows
Support PACS environments and integrated healthcare IT systems
Address enterprise software issues related to VMware vSphere and Microsoft Server
Develop and maintain scalable playbooks, workflows, and implementation processes
Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Management, and Applications to represent customer needs and influence product improvements
Conduct virtual and onsite meetings, training, and knowledge-transfer sessions
Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, ISO standards, and applicable healthcare laws
Manage vendor service delivery and escalation processes
Mentor and guide junior Customer Support Specialists
Contribute to customer success initiatives and sales opportunities as needed
Qualification
Required
BS degree in a technical discipline (AA with significant relevant technical experience considered)
5+ years of HL7 integration and support experience (required)
5+ years of experience with database setup, installation, troubleshooting, and SQL scripting
Deep knowledge of radiology and hospital workflows, roles, and operational environments
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware ESX, Microsoft Hyper-V)
Strong expertise in PACS systems and healthcare IT solutions
Proven success leading large hardware/software projects and serving as a primary technical resource
Call center or customer support experience in complex technical environments
Strong analytical, design-thinking, and problem-solving skills
Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to manage difficult technical and customer situations professionally
Leadership, mentoring, and collaboration skills
Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and dependability
Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to all levels of an organization
Expertise with HL7, DICOM, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, and SQL scripting
Advanced proficiency in MS Access, Excel, and analytical tools
Knowledge of database design, development, project management, and healthcare IT systems
Preferred
Experience supporting enterprise software environments (vSphere, Microsoft Server preferred)
VCP and/or MCSE certifications strongly preferred
Multilingual abilities a plus
