Quality Engineer (Associate or Mid-Level)
The Boeing Company is seeking a Quality Engineer (Associate or Mid-Level) to join their team in Berkeley, MO. The role involves ensuring compliance with quality management systems and developing quality metrics for various programs while analyzing non-conformance trends and supporting supplier selection activities.

Responsibilities
Researches contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation
Develops sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements
Analyzes capability assessments to support supplier selection activities
Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs
Performs data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness
Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances
Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions
Compiles performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved
Works under general supervision
Supports development activities and leads integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements related to Mission Systems and Avionics
Provides interpretation of complex requirements and assists design engineers with technical reviews including configuration change proposals, preliminary / critical design reviews, First Article Inspections, and Qualification testing
Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements
Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities and Supplier Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRAs)
Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances
Leads and participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs
Develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness
Initiate and implements corrective actions based on nonconformance trend analysis
Performs benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved
Works under minimal direction
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
1+ years of experience working in Quality, Supplier Quality or Supplier Management
1+ years of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA)
1+ years of experience working with and supporting Quality Management System (QMS)
1+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship

Preferred
5+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Current American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certifications (CQA);(CQE); (CQT)
Experience in an avionics, electrical, and/or systems engineering role
3+ years of experience working in Quality, Supplier Quality, or Supplier Management
3+ years of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA)
