Responsibilities
Manage R&D projects from feasibility and ingredient sourcing through launch and post-launch review
Develop product specifications, testing protocols, and documentation to ensure quality and compliance
Partner cross-functionally and with external suppliers and copackers to drive innovation
Manage commercialization of new and improved products to meet launch timing, product requirements, financial targets, and manufacturing feasibility
Lead cost-saving initiatives through formulation and process optimization
Solve technical challenges in product performance, manufacturing, and scaling
Support continuous improvement in product quality, sustainability, and operational efficiency
Adhere to all quality, safety, and regulatory standards, including GMP and HACCP
Foster a culture of safety and continuous learning within R&D and production teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Process Engineering, or related field
7+ years of progressive experience in product and process development within consumer packaged goods
Experience in consumer packaged goods, ideally across multiple categories and with external co-manufacturers; rice, snacks, retort, or seasoning experience a plus
Proven background in ingredient application, process development, and product scale-up within manufacturing environments
Strong knowledge of food science, processing principles, GMP, HACCP, food safety, sanitation, and relevant regulations
Skilled in operating laboratory-scale food processing equipment and instruments to deliver accurate, high-quality product development work
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Genesis, ERP systems, and SharePoint a plus
Collaborative, resourceful, and driven to deliver results through teamwork
