Responsibilities
Support to the production build process
First Article Inspection
Quality support on non-recurring engineering efforts including hardware redesign efforts due to Diminishing Manufacturing Supply
Repair/rework of Customer and Government Furnished Equipment
Environmental Stress Screening Test Program Set development
Supplier engagement and issue resolution
Product Acceptance with the customer
Interface with the customer for audits, program inquiries and product acceptance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or technical discipline and 4+ years of work experience
Self-starting problem solver with a fact-based focus on continuous improvement
Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
Ability to read, interpret and understand a drawing, print and specification
Ability to work independently with little to no oversight
Strong and Demonstrated Communication Skills (written, verbal, visual) and interpersonal skills
Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) and Production Process Verification (PPV)
Communication in a clear, concise and professional manner with multiple customers in different organizations, functions and the US Government
Understanding of Quality Science tools (APQP/PPAP, 8D RCCA, Statistical Process Controls, Lean Six Sigma, Auditing)
Proven ability to work in a multi-disciplined team
Preferred
Master's Degree
Prior Quality Assurance Engineering experience
Support to Production manufacturing
Green Belt/ Black Belt certification
Lean Six Sigma tools
Hands on experience in a Defense Contracting Environment
Active secret clearance
Familiarity with the following: Understanding of defense industry standards (AS9100, AS9102, AS9145)
Manufacturing of complex electronic assemblies
Customer Requirements and flow down into program execution and tasking
Presentation of product to customer for acceptance/ 'sell off'
Preparation of documentation packages for customer review
