Business Development Representative

As a Business Development Representative, your primary responsibility will be to generate qualified leads for the sales team that drive the pipeline and contribute to new business customer growth.

Responsibilities

Execute the outreach and scheduling of targeted geographical business meetings (via email and telephone) for new business sales teams
Call on Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) to qualify for sales-readiness, set appointments, and hand off to the appropriate sales team for discovery calls
Provide the sales team with any necessary information they need when they follow up with qualified leads
Create, maintain and update accounts, contacts, hunts, tasks, activities, etc., in our CRM software
Manage all inbound lead traffic (website, incoming calls/voicemails from Sales line, etc.), document, follow-up and set appointments for qualified leads
Obtain a working knowledge of our industry, target client, and the key decision makers needed
Stay current with the Business Unit messaging and solution value propositions
Understand the competitive landscape and competitor products to enhance your talking points with prospective customers. Be able to comfortably answer questions such as: Why should I look at your business? Why are you better than 'competitor X?'
Be able to qualify and review the client’s market position and how the business unit solutions may/may not be a fit
Assist with coordinating speaking engagements at regional industry chapter meetings to build awareness and drive new leads

Required

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience preferred
1+ years of sales prospecting experience, preferably for a technology company

Collaborative team player
Positive outlook and strong work ethic
