Data Analyst (Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid)

Responsibilities
Manage the Eligibility & Compliance Unit processes and technical requirements
Prepare routine and ad hoc data reports for OSFA purposes using a variety of techniques ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining. Write SQL scripts and execute BANNER processes
Analyze data related to eligibility and management of Federal Pell Grants, Federal Direct Loans, HOPE/Zell Miller scholarships and NCAA/ACC requirements
Lead projects to review, initiate, and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the unit and the department
Serve as Unit Level Coordinator for systems testing
Serve as a training resource for OSFA staff
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Five years of job-related experience
Previous experience in higher education
Must have strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
Must be able to prioritize tasks and projects
Strong data analytics, database management, and report writing skills are required
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, are required
Must be an expert in the BANNER Financial Aid module
Must be able to write and execute expert SQL scripts
Must be able to write and modify Crystal Reports
Due to the nature of this position, the schedule will require work outside of a normal work schedule on occasion
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
