Responsibilities
Develop and support programs on the IBM-i platform using: RPGLE (including free-form and embedded SQL), CLLE, DDL / DDS
Follow internal development practices outlined in Programming Standards and Guidelines
Complete work by deadlines assigned by management
Collaborate effectively as part of the Programming Team
Stay current on IBM i OS versions, language updates, and industry releases
Apply sound judgment to analyze issues, evaluate risks/benefits, and determine best solutions
Manage multiple priorities and handle sensitive matters with discretion
Perform other duties as assigned to support evolving business needs
Qualification
Required
Proven experience with RPG language
Bachelor's degree (business/IT/project management) OR equivalent experience (Equivalent = 2–3+ years professional programming experience)
Strong working knowledge of: RPGLE, CLLE, DDL, SQL, and modular coding practices
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work with external clients and internal staff
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to use discretion with confidential and sensitive data
Ability to work effectively with other CU•Answers teams
Basic understanding of communications used for data transmission
Regular and predictable attendance
Ability to operate standard office equipment (PC workstation, phone, copier, etc.)
Commitment to company mission and cooperative principles
Preferred
1–3 years of related financial services programming experience preferred
