Henry Ford Health is seeking a Radiology Technology Assistant to support the Radiology team in a variety of clerical, technical, and patient-related duties. The role involves assisting patients with check-in, exam preparation, and providing education, as well as performing clerical tasks and ensuring the imaging areas are well maintained.

Responsibilities

Assist patients and staff in Radiology Imaging Departments
Explain examination procedures to patients, help prepare them for the exam and review any screening forms associated with the exam
Assist Radiology/Imaging Team with Electronic Health Record data entry
Prepare procedure room and work areas to ensure stock is replenished (linen and related supplies) and the area is kept neat and clean
Perform clerical duties to include answering telephones, patient scheduling, RIS functions
Transport and escort patients to and from Radiology, both in hospital and ambulatory settings Performs other duties as assigned

Qualification

Healthcare Provider (BLS)Medical knowledgeClinical experienceBasic computer knowledgePatient educationClerical dutiesPatient transport

Required

High School graduate or equivalent required
Basic computer knowledge required
Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification required upon hire or during orientation to department

Preferred

Medical knowledge and terminology preferred
One (1) year clinical experience preferred
