Responsibilities
Reviews quantity survey assignment with lead estimator
Performs general sub-trade solicitation duties
Bid document control
Performs bid day assignments
Sub-trade bid reviews and recapping
Visits job sites periodically
Use of in-house estimating software (BEST Estimating)
Develops relationships with subcontractors
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating Technology, Construction Management, or similar degree
Must be authorized to work in the US
Any experience using the following; On-Screen Takeoff, Microsoft Excel and Word, Revit, Acrobat, and other computer software
Required to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, with project personnel, suppliers, subcontractors and owners
Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications, and perform quantity take offs
Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a substance abuse test
Preferred
Knowledge of unit pricing and a general understanding of conceptual estimating
Prior experience working in construction
Have a general understanding of contract agreements; Lump Sum, Design Build, Project Management, Construction Management, Public/Private Partnership
