Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a wide variety of medical equipment
Troubleshoot issues with confidence and restore devices to full performance
Effectively communicate status updates and needs to clinical staff
Partner with clinical staff to minimize downtime and maximize trust
Keep documentation tight, compliant, and easy to follow
Be a team player who shares knowledge and helps create 'rabid fans' of HERO
Qualification
Required
3+ years of hands-on hospital experience performing preventative maintenance and repair on a variety of patient care and diagnostic medical equipment
Biomedical Equipment Technology Certificate from an accredited program
People skills, problem-solving chops, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
An Associate's degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or a similar degree of focus: i.e., Electronics Engineering OR Department of Defense (DOD) training/experience
Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) certificate from AAMI
