Tax Relationship Manager - Phoenix

They are seeking a proactive and self-motivated Tax Relationship Manager to cultivate client relationships, mentor staff, and drive business growth. The role involves managing client relationships, identifying revenue opportunities, and participating in community involvement.

Responsibilities

Communicate with existing clients and prospects via email, telephone and video calls and meetings
Actively manage and grow existing and new client relationships
Communicate effectively with clients to resolve concerns in a timely manner
Strengthen client relationships through regular contact, including lunches, dinners, and activities
Manage client relationships and billing run while collaborating with mentors/department heads to ensure appropriate fee structures
Identify and capitalize on opportunities for revenue growth
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the business environment and client needs
Accept and transition new client relationships seamlessly as part of succession planning
Represent the company with confidence and professionalism at external events
Actively mentor, coach, and develop staff, fostering growth and collaboration
Involve team members in client meetings, lunches, and community events to support their professional development
Commit to at least 15 hours per month of community involvement, including participation on at least one community board or committee outside of the firm

Required

CPA required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent degree as determined by the management committee, required
6 to 9 years of experience in public accounting
Current and in-depth knowledge of relevant tax laws, rules and regulations
Ability to analyze financial and tax data, tax research, and legal documents in order to make decisions on appropriate course of action
Proven experience in client relationship management and business development
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to engage with clients and teams both professionally and confidently
Passion for mentoring staff and contributing to the local community

Preferred

Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation preferred
