Responsibilities

Performing research using multiple drives, databases, and internal collaboration
Interpreting plans and wording to fulfill Public Records Requests
Daily assignments of QA/QC, public records requests, indexing/archiving, customer service at front desk, and training
Managing requests over lengths of time, following up, and ensuring each element is fulfilled
Providing customer service to internal and external customers efficiently

Required

One year of experience in paraprofessional engineering work
All finalists for positions are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position
Some positions require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record. Use of a personal vehicle for City business will be prohibited if the employee is not authorized to drive a City vehicle or if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage

Preferred

One year of experience working with Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) software
One year of experience working with electronic maps such as LandBase / EZ Maps or mapping software
One year of experience reading and interpreting As-builts, storm drain plans, Right-Of-Way, procurement documents, reports, manuals, and quarter-section maps
One year of experience providing customer service by telephone, email, or in person and responding to public inquiries from both internal and/or external customers
Experience in data entry
Experience in construction plan review
Experience utilizing an electronic permitting system
Experience with computer software applications such as Adobe, Microsoft Office Suite, Excel spreadsheets, and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) Systems
Experience successfully communicating with customers, Project Managers, Engineering Technicians, and supervisors in a production-focused team environment
Experience contributing to the training of Engineering Technicians, administrative staff, or customer service staff
Experience working with enterprise software for project and asset management such as Unifier or another document lifecycle software
Experience safely operating a KIP Machine or other wide format printer or plotter
