Project Development Engineer

Open Mountain Energy is seeking a motivated and experienced Project Management Engineer to lead geothermal energy construction projects from early planning through completion and operational launch. Responsibilities

Manage geothermal project lifecycles from scheduling to construction and commissioning
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment with internal departments and external stakeholders
Evaluate bids and proposals and collaborate with the project team to develop comprehensive project budgets
Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and regulatory agencies
Partner with executives and management on project design, enhancements, and progress analysis
Conduct site visits as needed and provide on-the-ground leadership. Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulatory permits
Monitor project performance, propose solutions to keep timelines and budgets on track
Complete and maintain all project documentation accurately and in a timely fashion

Required

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical) or Construction Management
3 years of experience managing capital-intensive projects in power generation or similar industry
Experience in geothermal, utility/power, heavy industrial, or related project management or engineering roles
Strong skills in schedule development, budgeting, bid analysis, and contractor coordination
Strong verbal and written communication skills
High level of organization, problem-solving, and adaptability
Ability to manage multiple projects and lead diverse teams in dynamic environments
Technologically fluent in project management tools and reporting systems

Preferred

Familiarity with geothermal power systems and designs, mechanical installations, or industrial process engineering
PMP certification
