Advocacy Specialist 2
The NYS Office of Children and Family Services is dedicated to improving outcomes for vulnerable youth. The Advocacy Specialist 2 will support local services, monitor programs, and provide technical assistance to enhance the effectiveness of youth services and partnerships.

Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree in a human services field
Two years of experience as a professional advocate or service provider in rehabilitation, developmental disabilities, or mental health
Ability to build and maintain partnerships
Ability to review, understand, and interpret state and federal guidelines
Ability to communicate complex messages to large audiences
Preferred
Experience as a professional advocate or service provider in one or more of the following program areas: child welfare (including prevention, protection, foster care, etc.), youth development, runaway and homeless youth services, or youth justice
Individuals with lived experience in the child welfare, runaway and homeless youth, and/or juvenile justice systems meet the criteria of a professional advocate
