Responsibilities
Develop, plan, schedule & manage production activities in coordination with demand forecasts, project deadlines and client requirements
Supervise, train, manage & support production staff, including supervisors, machine operators & laborers; involvement in the hiring process
Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching or corrective action as necessary
Collaborate with Engineering/Design teams to interpret technical drawings & ensure product specs are met
Maintain accurate production records, reports and documentation for management and regulatory purposes
Coordinate with logistics and shipping teams to ensure timely delivery of finished products
Oversee daily operations of prestress and precast concrete production to ensure efficiency and quality
Investigate and resolve product quality issues promptly
Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing or similar methodologies
Communicate with Engineering, Scheduling, QC, Project Managers and other Production team members to manufacture products to ensure customer satisfaction is met daily
Enforce strict adherence to all safety procedures and protocols
Identify and mitigate safety hazards in the plant environment
Lead safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA or relevant regulatory requirements
Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks and areas for improvement
Recommend and implement changes to improve productivity, reduce waste and lower production costs
Monitor usage of raw materials and precast components
Minimize material waste and support sustainable practices
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
10+ years of experience in production or operations management within the precast concrete industry managing PCI certified plants
Strong understanding of pre-stressing techniques, tensioning equipment, and strand handling
Proven leadership and team management abilities
Excellent planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Strong understanding of quality assurance processes and safety regulations
Familiarity with ERP systems and production management software
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently or with a team; willingness to be flexible as needed
Valid DL with clear driving record
Consistent, reliable and punctual attendance
Ability to read drawings/blueprints
Preferred
BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Engineering or related field
