Senior Human Resources Generalist
Partnership Employment is a mission-driven nonprofit organization in the Worcester area seeking an experienced HR Generalist on a contract basis to provide hands-on support across the full employee lifecycle. The role involves partnering with leadership and managers while managing day-to-day HR operations and supporting various HR functions.
Responsibilities
Act as a primary point of contact for employee and manager HR questions
Support employee relations matters, including coaching, documentation, and issue resolution
Assist with recruiting coordination, interviewing, and onboarding
Support benefits administration, leaves of absence, and employee status changes
Ensure compliance with employment laws, internal policies, and nonprofit requirements
Maintain personnel files, HRIS records, and reporting
Assist with job descriptions, performance review processes, and policy updates
Provide hands-on HR support during periods of transition, growth, or increased workload
Qualification
Required
4–7+ years of HR experience in a generalist capacity
Broad exposure across employee relations, recruiting, benefits, compliance, and HR operations
Experience supporting both hourly and salaried populations
Comfortable working in a lean HR environment with limited structure
Strong communication skills and sound judgment
Ability to step in quickly and add value with minimal ramp-up
Preferred
Prior nonprofit or mission-driven organization experience
