Temporary Administrative Assistant - Upstate Community Psychology
The South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice is dedicated to transforming young lives and supporting safer communities. They are seeking a Temporary Administrative Assistant to manage clinical schedules and provide administrative support for the Community Psychology staff in the Upstate Region.
Public Safety
Responsibilities
Plans, organizes, develops, and implements all administrative and clerical procedures necessary for the operation of the office of Upstate Community Psychology
Receives all incoming correspondence for the Treatment and Support Services Community Psychology office in Greenville
Creates and maintains databases and/or files necessary for the Treatment and Support Services Community Psychology office in Greenville
Accepts assignments for non-routine projects as requested by supervisor and/or community psychologists
Completes Other Related Job Duties As Assigned
Qualification
Required
A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment
A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience
Knowledge of agency policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and program services
Knowledge of federal and state laws, policies, procedures, rules and regulations related to the specific administrative/management function
Knowledge of government fiscal and personnel procedures, practices, and policies
Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment
Ability to coordinate diverse administrative/management functions
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Ability to communicate effectively
Must be proficient in Word and other Office Suite computer programs
Responsible for the coordination of administrative activities
Consistently makes quality job-related decisions compatible with agency policies and procedures
Starts assignments without prompting and independently contributes ideas and projects
Sees and acts on new opportunities
Thinks and acts independently and promptly undertakes problems
Must be able to walk, lift 25 lbs.; communicate both orally and written; be able to work varied hours; be able to work around at-risk youth; and be able to travel between offices
Preferred
A high school graduate and clerical experience
