Aviation Maintenance Technician and Inspector

The Boeing Company is seeking an Aviation Maintenance Technician and Inspector with an active secret or higher security clearance to perform maintenance and alterations on production during and post flight test activities for the KC-46 Tanker. The role involves troubleshooting, inspecting, and repairing aircraft and engine systems, as well as performing quality functions and audits.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, inspect, test, repair, service aircraft and engine systems to prepare aircraft for flight
Perform Quality functions such as Customer and DCMA Coordination, Configuration Change Verification, Conformity Inspections, Airworthiness Inspections (including Pre-flight and Post-flights), Corrective Action and Investigations
Initiate and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, software, tools, parts, assemblies, or portions thereof, according to specifications, processes, and procedures
Perform Aviation Maintenance Technician Inspector tasks in order to obtain and maintain knowledge, skills and required certifications
Initiate and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, software, tools, parts, assemblies, or portions thereof, according to specifications, processes, and procedures
Perform audit/surveillance of all manufacturing and quality assurance processes, according to specifications, processes, and procedures

Required

Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
Minimum 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience with military, airline or certificated repair station background
This position requires an individual when working at heights to utilize fall protection equipment that has weight limitations
Must be able to work any shift and overtime as required

Preferred

Prefer a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate preferred
Preferred experience in and/or education in Flight Controls, Avionics electronics/systems, and Analysis
Prior military experience and working with military customers
