Business Development Representative

Responsibilities

Database Management: Reactivate and nurture relationships with existing clients in our company database
Outbound Prospecting: Make cold calls to potential clients in target industries to generate new business opportunities
Lead Qualification: Assess business funding needs and financial situations to determine fit
Application Management: Guide clients through the application process and submit qualified deals to credit
Pipeline Development: Build and manage a robust pipeline using HubSpot CRM
Handoff Coordination: Prepare files for assignment to Senior Account Executives once applications are submitted
Market Education: Learn equipment financing, working capital products, SBA, invoice factoring

Required

Hunger & Drive: Motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and desire to succeed in sales
Communication Skills: Confident phone presence with ability to build rapport quickly

Resilience: Comfortable with rejection and persistent in follow-up
Organization: Detail-oriented with strong time management skills
Team Player: Collaborative mindset with willingness to support senior team members

Preferred

1–2 years sales, customer service, or business development experience (not required)
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field (preferred but not required)
Familiarity with CRM systems (HubSpot experience a plus)
Interest in financial services or B2B sales

Benefits

Commission/bonus: on funded deals that are submitted
Realistic first-year OTE: $55,000–$70,000
Top performers can exceed $80,000+ annually
