Site Reliability Engineer

They are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to lead and support the migration of on-premise corporate hardware systems into the cloud, design and manage AWS infrastructure, and implement Infrastructure as Code to ensure scalable deployments.

Responsibilities

Lead and support the migration of on-premise corporate hardware systems into the WANDS/AWS cloud environment
Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure, including EC2, VPCs, networking, security controls, IAM, and related services
Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible to ensure scalable, repeatable, and auditable deployments
Apply AWS Well-Architected Framework principles across operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization, and sustainability
Perform Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) functions, including automation of operational tasks, system hardening, and resilience engineering
Design and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system availability, performance, and rapid incident response
Collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams to improve system reliability and reduce operational toil
Identify and drive continuous improvements in cloud architecture, reliability, and operational processes

Required

Sixteen (16) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in a related technical field is highly desired which will be considered equivalent to two (2) years of experience. A Master's degree in a Technical Field will be considered equivalent to four (4) years of experience. NOTE: A degree in Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar degree will be considered
Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required
One of the following certifications is required: AWS Certified Developer-Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Professional, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator-Associate, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKAD), Elastic Certified Engineer, Elastic Certified Observability Engineer
Possession of a Cloud certification is required and will be verified as part of the interview or offer process

Preferred

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps, CI/CD, and automation
