The CAE plays a key role in supporting sales efforts by developing competitive proposals and ensuring alignment with customer requirements and business objectives.

Responsibilities
Review customer specifications, drawings, and RFQs; prepare compliance tables
Act as the primary technical contact for proposals, guiding customers and internal teams
Lead the quoting process for core and complex control system offerings
Develop tailored solutions using standard design tools, technical libraries, and system configurations
Estimate costs accurately and assess technical, execution, and commercial risks
Coordinate with supply chain and third-party vendors for extended scope pricing
Work with sales and pricing teams to define competitive strategies
Consolidate financials and present proposals for internal approvals
Ensure timely bid submissions and compliance with internal processes
Participate in customer meetings, negotiations, and technical presentations
Support project handover from inquiry-to-order to execution teams
Contribute to process improvements and maintain proposal templates and best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Engineering degree (mechanical, electrical, electronic, power preferred) with minimum 4 years' experience in application/design and/or field service in industrial control systems OR High School Diploma/GED with at least 8 plus year of experience in application/design and/or field service in industrial control systems
4+ years of Unit Control system experience (i.e., turbines)
Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) like GE Mark V / Mark VIe, Simens SPPA-T300, ABB Symphony Plus, Emerson Ovation, Honeywell Experion PKS or related
Great communication skills and ability to work with a wide range of skillsets, teams and personalities
Experience with Human Machine Interface (HMI)
Preferred
Experience within the commercial/sales side of things (i.e., understanding terms & conditions/T&Cs, RFP process, developing scope/specifications, negotiation etc.)
Experience with GE control systems is heavily preferred (i.e., GE Mark V / Mark Vie, EX2100e, etc.)
Experience within the commercial/sales side of things, including
Experience with generator control systems (i.e., control system experience with Excitation/Static Starters such as EX2100e, ABB UNITROL, or similar)
