The NYS Office of General Services is seeking a Professional Engineer 1 in Electrical. The role involves coordinating and supervising complex electrical engineering design projects, preparing specifications, and performing a range of supervisory duties.

Responsibilities
Coordinate and supervise complex electrical engineering design projects
Designate type of electrical system to be used for projects, assign, supervise and check the design work of subordinates
Coordinate work with other disciplines: architecture, mechanical and estimating
Prepare specifications, review shop drawings, change orders and contract documents
Perform a full range of supervisory duties
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
A New York State Professional Engineer's license and current registration AND a qualifying bachelor's degree or higher as listed below; OR a New York State Professional Engineer's license and current registration AND one year of full-time qualifying engineering experience as listed below
Qualifying degrees: Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or Engineering Science with a recognized concentration in any of the above listed engineering degrees
Qualifying experience: One year of full-time engineering experience in electrical systems
Current New York State employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service in a position allocated to a Grade 22 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law
Possession and maintenance of a valid Driver's License issued by the NYS Department of Motor Vehicle is required or otherwise demonstrate the capacity to meet the transportation needs of the job
