Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Snowflake and Databricks
Ingest fund accounting outputs, trade data, positions, and security master data into the enterprise data platform
Develop and optimize Snowflake schemas, views, stored procedures, and transformation logic
Build and maintain Databricks notebooks and jobs for data processing, validation, and enrichment
Partner with external technology vendors to validate data feeds, schemas, and interface requirements
Support platform scalability as additional fund accountants are onboarded concurrently
Collaborate with product, operations, and analytics teams to ensure data quality, lineage, and accessibility
Develop or support APIs, UI components, or middleware to expose data internally in intuitive, consumable formats
Diagnose and resolve integration issues, data discrepancies, and performance bottlenecks
Contribute to technical documentation, data mappings, and operational runbooks

Required

5+ years of professional software development experience, preferably within financial services/capital markets
Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (SQL, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, UDFs, performance tuning)
Practical experience with Databricks for large-scale data processing and transformation (Spark, notebooks, workflows)
Full stack development experience across backend services and APIs (frontend exposure a plus)
Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar languages, with experience in data-intensive applications
Solid understanding of ETL/ELT workflows, distributed data processing, and cloud-native architectures
Working knowledge of financial instruments across asset classes such as fixed income, equities, credit, and derivatives

Preferred

Experience integrating fund accounting, reconciliation, or shadow accounting platforms
Familiarity with middle- and back-office data flows (trade capture, pricing, NAV, P&L, corporate actions)
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and modern DevOps practices
Experience operating in multi-cloud or hybrid data environments
