Responsibilities
Own and manage the company’s cost accounting function, including standard costing, variance analysis, and manufacturing overhead
Maintain and analyze Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings to ensure costing accuracy
Ensure proper calculation and reporting of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
Partner with operations, supply chain, and production teams to understand cost drivers and support pricing and margin decisions
Oversee inventory accounting, valuation, and controls, including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
Ensure accurate inventory reconciliations, physical counts, cycle counts, and adjustments
Monitor inventory reserves, obsolescence, and slow‑moving inventory
Lead all general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and month‑end close
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliations and internal controls
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts
Establish and maintain strong accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Support external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance
Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff
Drive process improvements and system enhancements within the accounting function
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including manufacturing
Solid understanding of GAAP and internal control best practices
Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred
CPA or CMA (preferred)
Prior experience in a multi‑site or growth‑oriented manufacturing environment
Leadership experience managing or developing accounting teams
