Enterprise Quality Assurance Analyst

The California Franchise Tax Board is seeking an Enterprise Quality Assurance Analyst to provide multi-faceted testing for their Enterprise Data Systems. This role requires collaboration within a team to drive IT solutions that modernize the technical environment, directly impacting the success of FTB's mission to assist Californians with their tax obligations.

Required

Experience specifically in testing database components
Experience utilizing and applying industry best practices in testing methodologies
Analyzing design documentation and requirements; identifying gaps in design and business requirements
Experience designing logical test plans, writing and executing test scripts and completing follow-up results documentation
Experience with testing Franchise Tax Board (FTB) tax systems or similar integrated applications utilizing IBM Database 2 (DB2), SQL Server, Java/Pega, Webservice calls
Experience using testing tools (IBM Data Stage for running processing jobs, Test Hub for test plans and test script execution, Azure DevOps for system changes and defect tracking and FileZilla for transferring data files
Experience analyzing and creating data formatted in Extensible Markup Language (XML)
Experience writing and executing Structured Query Language (SQL) queries to identify specific data conditions
Experience working both independently and, in a team environment
Ability to reason logically, identify problems, draw valid conclusions, and develop effective solutions
Demonstrated ability with effective time management and multi-tasking skills, handling multiple project priorities and workloads concurrently
Experience and/or interest in test automation
Excellent written communication skills
