This role will oversee revenue-related accounting activities and financial reporting for assigned business segments, requiring a hands-on leader who can balance tactical execution with strategic process improvement.

Responsibilities

Direct and manage the revenue accounting lifecycle, including month-end close activities, reconciliations, and revenue recognition accuracy
Lead the Accounts Receivable team, overseeing invoicing, cash application, collections activity, dispute resolution, and reporting
Own preparation and delivery of financial statements, management reporting packages, and supporting schedules
Analyze revenue performance and gross margin trends to identify risks, variances, and optimization opportunities
Perform detailed balance sheet account reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance
Oversee reimbursable billing processes, including expense validation, invoice preparation, and reconciliation between reimbursable costs and revenue
Interpret customer contracts to ensure billing practices align with contractual terms and revenue policies
Partner with internal stakeholders to gain operational insight and improve financial visibility across assigned business units
Support tax-related reporting requirements, including sales/use tax, gross receipts filings, revenue apportionment, and unclaimed property submissions
Serve as a key finance liaison for internal leadership and external partners, providing timely insights and ad hoc analysis
Establish team goals, performance metrics, and development plans to strengthen staff capabilities and execution
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen internal controls, and standardize accounting procedures
Coordinate audit support activities and ensure timely completion of audit deliverables
Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and internal governance requirements

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and financial analysis experience
1+ years of direct people management or team leadership experience
Strong working knowledge of GAAP and revenue-related accounting standards
Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and data analysis tools
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and think strategically
Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Strong leadership capabilities with experience coaching and developing staff
Self-directed professional with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently

Preferred

Experience with project-based or contract accounting strongly preferred
