Pharmacy Operations Training Manager
RiteChoice Rx is a fast-growing independent 340B pharmacy partnering with community health centers to provide accessible, patient-centered care. They are seeking a Pharmacy Operations Training Manager to lead training, onboarding, and workforce readiness across their organization, focusing on developing training programs for pharmacy teams.

Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain a structured pharmacy training system supporting onboarding, ongoing training, remediation, and workflow updates across all service models
Define responsibilities within the training environment, including training delivery, competency validation, and authorization for independent work
Execute multi-role training programs supporting pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy couriers, and clinical administrative staff
Ensure training delivery includes knowledge-based instruction, practical application, observation, and competency validation
Monitor training participation, completion, and performance to identify gaps or barriers and implement corrective actions
Deliver and coordinate training through live and virtual formats across pharmacy locations
Maintain documentation of training activities, competency validation, and authorization decisions in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards
Establish training standards, policies, expectations applicable across all roles and service models
Develop workflow manuals outlining step-by-step operational processes for claims billing, Rx pick-up operations, and clinical provider services
Ensure manuals reflect real-world practice, regulatory requirements, and operational expectations in a clear, accessible format
Review and update manuals in response to operational changes, system updates, regulatory requirements, or training gaps
Partner with operational and clinical leaders to validate workflow accuracy and alignment with approved practices
Develop and maintain an Essential Knowledge Manual defining core expectations, compliance principles, escalation pathways, and foundational operational knowledge
Use the manual as a baseline resource for onboarding, refresher training, and corrective action
Update the manual as organizational standards, roles, systems, or regulatory requirements evolve
Collaborate with business leaders and collaborative support teams to ensure training materials reflect current policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Translate policies and procedures into practical, role-specific training content applicable to daily operations
Ensure staff are trained in new or revised policies within established timeframes
Maintain documentation of policy-related training completion and comprehension
Define measurable training targets related to onboarding completion, retraining frequency, and readiness for independent work
Track and analyze training metrics across pharmacy locations to identify trends, gaps, and areas of risk
Use training data to inform leadership on workforce readiness, training priorities, and risk mitigation needs
Adjust training strategies and resources based on performance outcomes and organizational needs
Establish structured training schedules for onboarding, refresher training, remediation, and workflow or system updates
Coordinate training timelines with business leaders to minimize operational disruption while meeting compliance requirements
Create standardized training evaluations and assessments aligned with role expectations and service model requirements
Incorporate evaluations into onboarding, ongoing training, and remediation processes
Audit training completion records, competency documentation, and assessment results to ensure training standards are met
Develop feedback loops to assess training effectiveness from trainees, supervisors, and business leaders
Analyze evaluation results, audit findings, and feedback to identify risks and improvement opportunities
Implement updates to training content, delivery methods, or evaluation tools and communicate changes to stakeholders
Provide leadership through training programs that build role competency, confidence, and accountability
Maintain regular communication with business unit leaders and collaborative support teams to align training with operational priorities
Serve as a trusted advisor on training readiness, workforce preparedness, and training-related risk
Ensure training content and delivery adhere to applicable pharmacy laws, regulations, and organizational policies
Identify training-related risks impacting employee safety, patient safety, or operational continuity and implement mitigation strategies
Align training programs with quality standards and corrective action initiatives
Collaborate with the collaborative support team to support technology adoption through structured training and system updates
Identify opportunities to enhance training programs through improved technology resources
Manage training-related resources, including materials, systems, travel, and external training resources, ensuring fiscal responsibility
Identify opportunities to improve training efficiency and cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality standards
Translate organizational strategy into training plans that support growth, scalability, and service expansion
Qualification
Required
Active PA Pharmacist License required; additional states preferred
PharmD degree required
Demonstrated experience in pharmacist training, precepting, mentoring, education, or workforce development
Ability and willingness to travel as needed
Preferred
5+ years of pharmacist experience (community, clinical, or multi-site pharmacy environments) preferred
Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills preferred
Experience in multi-site or growth-oriented pharmacy organizations
