This role supports production assembly and full system testing of medical instruments, responsible for analyzing test results, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Responsibilities
Build, integrate, and understand complete instrument assembly processes
Perform functional and release testing on moderately complex instruments
Analyze test data to determine pass/fail results and implement solutions
Optimize system performance (precision movement and/or light systems)
Identify defects and recommend design or process improvements
Read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and workmanship standards
Train and mentor associates on mechanical and testing activities
Process and disposition Quality Notifications (QNs)
Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing teams
Perform material handling for raw materials and sub-assemblies
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety, and quality procedures
Complete other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable) required
Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days
3.5+ years of manufacturing experience required in lieu of an Associate's degree
Experience supporting testing of moderately complex instruments
Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
Proven leadership ability with experience mentoring or coaching others
Commitment to Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing principles
Experience participating in Kaizen events, Blitzes, and CI initiatives
Working knowledge of mechanical tools (torque drivers, gauges, bits, etc.)
Ability to read drawings, interpret specifications, and measure dimensions
Strong time management and ability to manage multiple production orders
Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills
Ability to work within defined quality systems and procedures
Proficient in English (reading, writing, comprehension)
Ability to analyze charts, follow diagrams, and perform basic arithmetic
Basic PC and Windows environment proficiency
Strong math and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
Preferred
Associate's (AA) degree in a technical field preferred
