Environmental Scientist II

Responsibilities
Manages certification/recertifications in the well driller's certification program
Reviews and issues deficiencies of documents submitted for compliance
Serves as a field investigator in technical assistance areas related to domestic use wells, sinkholes, and springs
Conducts sampling in the ambient monitoring network sampling and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) sampling as requested
Conducts field investigations related to studies
Conducts compliance inspections
Attend meetings as a cabinet representative
Qualification
Required
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a natural, biological or physical science OR Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree including or supplemented by 20 semester hours in a natural, biological or physical science
One year of experience in natural resources, environmental control, or a related area
Must maintain a driver's license
Strong communication and organizational skills
Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
Strong technical writing skills
Experience in Geographic Information System (GIS)
