Responsibilities
Long-Term Care facility that houses the residence previously in the state hospital with mental and heath related issues
Assisting patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
Monitoring patients’ behavior, mood, and physical condition, and reporting changes to the nursing staff or physicians
Assisting in group therapy sessions, recreational activities, and other therapeutic interventions
Assisting in de-escalating situations when patients become agitated or aggressive, often using techniques learned through specialized training
Keeping detailed records of patient behavior, activities, and changes in condition
Working closely with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to implement care plans and ensure the well-being of patients
Qualification
Required
Graduated from a Certified Nursing Assistant Program
Current / Active PA state certification as a CNA
6 months experience working as a CNA
Experience working in a Assisted Living, Long Term Care Facility, or Behavioral Health facility
