Payroll & Finance Associate
Camino Search is partnering with a rapidly growing financial and professional services business that supports staffing and recruitment firms across the US and UK. The Payroll & Finance Associate will ensure payroll, invoicing, and core finance processes run accurately and on time, providing a solid foundation for a longer-term career in finance or operations.
Responsibilities
Process US and Canada payroll for W-2 employees and independent contractors
Collect, audit, and validate timesheets
Manage supplier remittances for clients with multiple workers
Process monthly margin payments
Review payroll runs for accuracy and completeness
Handle adjustments such as corrections and leave
Respond to payroll inquiries via a shared inbox
Issue weekly and monthly client invoices
Track purchase order balances and usage
Submit weekly workers’ compensation notifications
Audit monthly benefits invoices
Support recurring finance and administrative processes
Qualification
Required
1–3 years of professional experience or equivalent
Degree in accounting, finance, business, economics, or related field preferred
Experience in finance, operations, logistics, administration, or military environments is welcomed
Strong academic or structured training background a plus
High attention to detail and comfort with deadlines
Strong organizational skills
Solid Excel capability, including formulas and basic lookups
Clear, professional written communication
Process-driven, reliable, and accountable
Comfortable owning work end-to-end
Enjoys structured task execution and supporting a broader team
Curious about how things work, disciplined in how they're done
Able to operate independently in a remote environment
