The State of Florida is seeking a Human Services Senior Supervisor Forensic for the Agency for Persons with Disabilities. Responsibilities

The incumbent assigned to this position is a point of contact and responsible for managing and directing all operational aspects of the individual ward and or facility during the entire respective shift
Individuals assigned to this position are responsible and accountable for the health, safety, security and well-being of residents and staff assigned under their respective supervision and /or facility/ward as directed by the Residential Services Director FC SES or Human Services Administrator FC SES
Manages and supervises the daily ward operation and direct care staff engaged in the custody and care of vulnerable persons who are intellectually challenged
Assumes full administrative responsibility for the facility on an assigned shift and ensures emergency, safety, hygiene, and other conditions are sufficient to maintain quality client services and care
Functions as a role model for residents to reinforce the behavioral and social skills required to be successful in integrating into community and/or residential environments
Evaluates behaviors of individual residents and provides feedback to the treatment teams and subordinate staff to ensure that behavioral programs are implemented and documented in a consistent manner
Trains and assists direct care staff in interpreting and/or clarifying the behavioral program
Provides consultation and feedback to the treatment teams with respect to recommendations and/or modifications to the behavioral program based on interaction, observation and/or communication with the resident
Functions as the team leader in the absence of the Residential Services Director FC SES or Human Services Administrator FC SES and assumes a leadership role in mentoring new employees
Assists the Residential Services Director FC SES or Human Services Administrator FC SES in the deployment of new policies and procedures and/or protocols and behavioral program updates
Directs the implementation and deployment of behavioral programs designed for each resident in an appropriate, fair and impartial manner
Ensures that all activities associated with the resident are documented in chronological order in accordance with agency protocol with all relevant facts which includes who, what, when where and why
Ensures all associated documents are timely and accurately filed in the resident charts
Initiates appropriate management action to address and notify behavioral teams of any issues associated with the resident that are unusual and/or may require follow up and further investigation
Ensures that all required administrative documents/forms are completed and forwarded to the appropriate management personnel in a timely and accurate manner
Works in partnership and coordinates as appropriate with medical, security, rehabilitation, and support coordinator personnel to effectively and efficiently manage and direct the daily operation of the respective ward and/or facility
Works in partnership with the Human Resources Office to timely address and resolve all personnel related issues
Makes rounds to observe services provided to residents and compliance with operating procedures
Plans workloads, workflows, deadlines, work objectives and time utilization with employees
Communicates on a regular basis with employees both individually and in staff meetings
Monitor, in-service, motivate and direct staff in areas of job performance
Complete employee’s performance evaluations and performance expectations within established timeframes as required
Assist in the hiring process of staff, including but not limited to, participating in the interview process, making recommendation(s) for hire
Recommends corrective and/or disciplinary actions as necessary
Completes all required training
Monitor and track to ensure assigned staff complete required training
Maintain timesheet, ensuring accuracy and submit timely in accordance with policy and procedure
Review and approve timesheets as required
Monitor all time and attendance to ensure all coverage levels are met, review and address areas of concern with staff and management as required

Required

A valid driver's license
An associate's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in nursing, education, or a social, behavioral or rehabilitative science and two years of experience involving the application of behavior modification principles; OR -A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in nursing, education, or a social, behavioral or rehabilitative science; OR -Experience as described above that can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education
At least one year of supervisor experience
Compassion for vulnerable and developmentally disabled individuals
MANDT at the Advanced level is required unless the incumbent requests reasonable accommodation supported by an annual medical certification
Incumbent is required to submit to pre-employment TB screening and on an annual on-going basis as prescribed by DDDP
Maintain confidentiality of employee and/or resident information
Based on the duties and essential functions of this position, incumbents will be required to spend a minimum of 75% of work time performing duties which involves direct contact with residents in a forensic facility
This position requires lifting, pulling and squatting
