Responsibilities
Prepare and send invoices through QuickBooks Online
Record customer payments, credits, and adjustments
Monitor AR aging and follow up on overdue accounts
Communicate with customers to resolve billing or payment issues
Maintain accurate and organized AR records
Process vendor invoices and ensure accurate coding
Obtain approvals and enter bills into QuickBooks Online
Prepare vendor payments and maintain payment schedules
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Maintain organized AP files and documentation
Perform monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
Research and resolve discrepancies between bank and internal records
Assist with AP/AR coding and journal entries
Support month-end close tasks, including account reconciliations
Maintain digital financial files and accounting documentation
Work directly under the guidance of a CPA
Assist with audit preparation and financial reporting tasks
Collaborate with a small, supportive accounting team in a remote environment
Qualification
Required
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2–4 years of AR/AP or general accounting experience
Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (required)
Bank reconciliation experience (required)
Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP basics
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas)
Excellent communication, accuracy, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently in a remote setting
Preferred
Experience in corporate or multi-entity accounting
Interest in pursuing CPA licensure
B2B billing or high-volume AR/AP experience
