This role involves turning high-level security architecture into implementable designs while working across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments.

Responsibilities
Take a high-level security architecture and produce detailed, implementation-ready designs
Validate, adjust, and improve architectural decisions based on real-world constraints
Design and implement Palo Alto security solutions across Prisma Cloud, SCM, Prisma Access, Prisma Browser, and related platforms
Build and operate virtual and physical Palo Alto firewalls across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments
Own Panorama-based environments, including policy architecture, segmentation strategy, and operational scale
Work directly at the command line to configure, automate, and troubleshoot Palo Alto platforms
Script and automate security workflows using Bash and SCM tooling rather than manual processes
Implement cloud security controls across AWS and Azure environments
Partner with network and infrastructure teams to design traffic flows, segmentation models, and routing-aware security controls
Produce clear implementation standards and patterns that can be reused and scaled
Qualification
Required
Senior to Staff level hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks platforms in production environments
Deep experience with Prisma Cloud and Palo Alto cloud security services, including SCM
Proven ability to design and operate Panorama environments at scale
Experience building, not just administering, firewall architectures
Comfort working at a command line level as a primary interface
Scripting experience using Bash or similar CLI-based tooling
Working cloud security experience across AWS and Azure
Strong networking fundamentals with hands-on exposure to BGP, MPLS, VXLAN, and LACP
Experience working alongside or integrating with Cisco and Juniper networking environments
Ability to reason through traffic flow, routing behavior, and segmentation without relying on diagrams alone
Certifications are optional, real implementation experience is required
